I am Banana G9, the farmer’s dependable Cavendish. My tall pseudostems carry large bunches of uniform yellow bananas, sweet and creamy. I thrive in tropical climates, offering families daily nutrition and farmers steady income.

I am a Cavendish banana cultivar producing uniform, high-yield fruits.

Native to Southeast Asia; G9 selected for commercial farming.

Water every 3–4 days; drip irrigation preferred.

Requires full sun.

Thrives in 20–35°C; sensitive to frost.

Plant in fertile, well-drained soil; spacing 1.5–2 meters apart.

Apply compost and NPK 10:10:10 every 2–3 months; supplement with potassium for fruit quality.

Botanical name: Musa acuminata (Cavendish group); Variety: Grand Naine (G9); Family: Musaceae.

Fruits are safe; leaves used for cooking.

Moderate; large leaves reduce dust.

Fruits rich in potassium, vitamin C, and fiber; eaten fresh, in desserts, or processed.

Susceptible to Panama disease, nematodes, and leaf spot; requires integrated pest management.

Short-lived perennial; fruits once per pseudostem, then replaced by suckers.
