I am Mogra But, the cherished and humble bloom of simple spaces. My iconic double-layered, intensely fragrant white flowers and glossy green leaves carry the timeless scent of tradition, blooming with pure beauty on a compact, manageable shrub.

I am a compact, evergreen flowering shrub, a specific 'But' or 'button' type of Jasmine, valued for my profuse, intensely fragrant double flowers and manageable growth habit.

Native to tropical Asia; the 'But' variety is a beloved classic, cultivated in home gardens across India and South Asia.

Water regularly to keep soil evenly moist, especially during the flowering season. Avoid waterlogging.

Prefers full sun to light partial shade (4-6 hours of direct sun) for best flowering and fragrance.

Thrives in 18-30°C; needs protection from frost.

Plant in well-drained, fertile, loamy soil; space 60-90 cm apart for a dense cluster or hedge.

Feed every 4-6 weeks during the growing season with a phosphorus-rich fertilizer (like NPK 10-30-10) to boost blooming.

Botanical name: Jasminum sambac 'Maid of Orleans' or a similar double-flowered cultivar; Common name: Mogra But, Tuscan Jasmine; Family: Oleaceae.

Generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, but ingestion of large quantities may cause mild stomach upset.

Moderate; contributes to a fresh, fragrant environment and general air quality.

Provides highly fragrant flowers for garlands (माला), home décor, and religious offerings (पूजा); excellent for pots, small gardens, and borders; easy to maintain.

Susceptible to aphids and mealybugs; fungal leaf spots in humid, stagnant air; bud drop due to stress from irregular watering.

Long-lived perennial shrub; can live 10-15+ years, typically growing 0.6-1.2 meters tall and wide.

Everyday 8:30AM to 6:30PM
