All Details

I am the Mango Totapuri, the distinctive parrot-beak of the mango family. My unique elongated shape with a pointed tip, vibrant yellow skin, and tangy-sweet, fibrous flesh make me an indispensable variety for slicing, processing into juices, pulps, and pickles.

I am a widely cultivated, commercial mango variety, valued not just for fresh consumption but primarily for its high pulp recovery, bright color, and perfect balance of sweetness and acidity for processing.

Believed to have originated in South India; now extensively cultivated across India and other mango-growing regions for the processing industry.

Water regularly during flowering and fruit development. Mature trees are fairly drought-tolerant but benefit from irrigation in dry spells for better yield.

Requires full sun for healthy growth and maximum fruit production.

Thrives in hot, tropical to subtropical climates (22-35°C).

Plant in deep, well-drained soil. Space trees 8-10 meters apart due to its vigorous growth and large canopy.

Feed with balanced NPK fertilizer and organic manure. Higher potassium application can improve fruit quality for processing.

Botanical name: Mangifera indica 'Totapuri'; Also known as 'Ginimoothi', 'Collector', 'Bangalora'; Family: Anacardiaceae.

The ripe pulp is safe in small amounts, but the skin, pit, and leaves contain urushiol and can be toxic to pets if ingested.

High; as a large commercial fruit tree, it provides significant shade and contributes to agro-ecology.

A workhorse of the processing industry for slices, juices, and concentrates; high-yielding and reliable; the fruit's shape makes it easy to slice.

Susceptible to mango hoppers, anthracnose, and powdery mildew; fruit fly infestation; can be fibrous, which is less desirable for fresh dessert use.

Long-lived; productive for 40-50 years or more. Grows into a large, vigorous tree over 15 meters tall.

Everyday 8:30AM to 6:30PM
