Hey there, friend! I'm the Amaltas Plant, your glorious and golden flowering tree that brings sunshine and splendor to any landscape. With my magnificent cascading yellow blossoms and graceful appearance, I'm nature's way of celebrating summer in style!
I'm a beautiful medium-sized tree famous for my stunning golden-yellow flowers that hang in long, graceful clusters like golden showers.
People love planting me in gardens, parks, and along avenues because I create a breathtaking floral display that's simply unforgettable.
I stand as a magnificent seasonal highlight in large spaces — anywhere you want to make a dramatic natural statement!
I originally come from the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia, where I'm celebrated as a beloved native flowering tree.
Water me regularly when I'm young to help establish my roots.
Once mature, I become quite drought-tolerant and can manage with natural rainfall.
I appreciate deep watering during extended dry spells, especially when flowering.
I thrive in full sunlight and need 6-8 hours of direct sun daily to grow strong and produce my spectacular floral show.
The more sun I get, the more abundant my golden blossoms will be!
I'm happiest in warm tropical and subtropical temperatures between 20°C and 35°C.
I can tolerate some heat but may struggle in prolonged freezing conditions.
Choose a spacious location with well-draining soil
Dig a hole twice as wide as my root ball
Mix compost with native soil for better establishment
Plant me carefully, ensuring proper depth
Water thoroughly after planting and stake if needed
Mulch around the base to retain moisture
Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape
Feed me with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer (NPK 10:10:10) during the early growing season.
Mature trees benefit from compost or well-rotted manure applied around the drip line annually.
Scientific Name: Cassia fistula

While I'm generally considered safe, it's always best to prevent pets from chewing on any plant material.
My seeds and pods should not be ingested in large quantities.
As a substantial tree, I'm excellent at absorbing carbon dioxide, releasing oxygen, and providing shade that cools the environment!
