All Details

I am a striking and artistic foliage plant, admired for my narrow, twisted, and spiral-shaped leaves that curl and turn in unique directions. Commonly known as Twisted Croton, my leaves display vibrant shades of green, yellow, orange, red, and sometimes purple, giving me a bold, dramatic appearance that instantly attracts attention.

I am a strikingly ornamental shrub known for my unique, spirally twisted leaves that display a vibrant mix of colors—including shades of green, yellow, red, orange, and sometimes purple.

I am native to tropical regions of Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, and I have been widely hybridized and cultivated as a colorful ornamental plant worldwide.

I prefer regular watering to keep the soil consistently moist but well-drained. Reduce watering in cooler months to avoid root rot.

I thrive in bright, indirect light or partial sun. Full sun enhances my leaf color, but harsh afternoon sun may scorch my leaves.

I grow best in warm, humid conditions between 18°C to 30°C. I am sensitive to cold and frost below 15°C.

Plant me in well-draining, fertile soil in pots or garden beds. Space multiple plants about 60–90 cm apart to allow for growth.

I respond well to a balanced liquid fertilizer applied every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring to summer).

Botanical name: Codiaeum variegatum 'Twisted' or similar cultivar. Family: Euphorbiaceae. My twisted leaves are a result of selective breeding.

I am toxic to pets if ingested, causing mouth irritation, vomiting, or drooling in cats and dogs. Keep out of their reach.

Moderate; I help improve indoor air quality by absorbing certain pollutants through my broad leaves.

I add vibrant color and unique texture to gardens and interiors, act as a striking focal point, and are relatively low-maintenance in suitable climates.

I am susceptible to spider mites, mealybugs, and scale insects, especially indoors. Leaf drop can occur due to overwatering, low humidity, or sudden temperature changes.

I can live for several years as a perennial in tropical climates; indoors, with proper care, I may thrive for 5+ years.
