I am Valsadi Sag, the teak of Gujarat. My straight trunk and golden-brown wood are valued for strength and beauty. I thrive in tropical climates, offering farmers a long-term investment and artisans a premium material.

I am a teak tree variety from Valsad, Gujarat, producing durable timber.

Native to India; Valsad region famous for teak plantations.

Moderately drought-tolerant; water weekly when young.

Requires full sun.

Thrives in 25–35°C; tolerates dry climates.

Plant in deep, well-drained soil; spacing 8–10 meters apart.

Minimal; compost annually for young trees.

Botanical name: Tectona grandis; Local name: Valsadi Sag (Teak); Family: Lamiaceae.

Non-toxic; not used as fodder.

Moderate; large canopy reduces dust.
