All Details

I am Mogra Barmasi, the eternal fragrance of Indian gardens. My delicate, star-shaped white blossoms and lush green foliage emit an intoxicating, sweet perfume that graces the air throughout the year, symbolizing purity and timeless beauty.

I am a highly prized, evergreen perennial flowering shrub, specifically a "Barmasi" (twelve-month/year-round) blooming variety of Jasmine, revered for my continuous floral display and iconic fragrance.

Native to tropical Asia; the 'Barmasi' cultivar is extensively cultivated and cherished across the Indian subcontinent.

Water regularly to keep soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged. Reduce slightly in winter.

Prefers full sun to partial shade; at least 4-6 hours of direct sun is essential for prolific blooming.

Thrives in 18-30°C; sensitive to frost and extreme cold.

Plant in rich, well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil; space 1-1.5 meters apart for hedges.

Feed every 3-4 weeks during the growing season with a balanced, phosphorus-rich fertilizer to promote continuous flowering.

Botanical name: Jasminum sambac 'Barmasi' (or a similar year-round flowering cultivar); Common names: Motia, Mogra, Arabian Jasmine; Family: Oleaceae.

Generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, but ingestion of large amounts may cause mild gastrointestinal upset.

Moderate; while known for fragrance, it contributes to air quality and a positive sensory environment.

Provides year-round fragrant flowers used in garlands, perfumes, and religious ceremonies; excellent for hedges, trellises, and containers; elevates garden aesthetics and ambiance.

Susceptible to mealybugs, aphids, and whiteflies; fungal issues like leaf spot in high humidity; bud drop due to underwatering or low light.

Long-lived perennial shrub; can live for 10-20+ years with proper care, growing 1-2 meters tall and wide.

Everyday 8:30AM to 6:30PM
