I am the Rose Button, a delicate charmer of compact grace. My petite, fully double blossoms, like tightly woven rosettes or small pom-poms, nestle amidst clusters of dark green, glossy leaves, offering a continuous display of color perfect for borders, containers, and fairy gardens.

I am a type of miniature rose (Rosa spp.), a small, bushy, and hardy perennial shrub. I am prized for my prolific bloom, dense growth habit, and perfectly formed, button-like small flowers.

Descended from classic garden roses; miniature varieties were cultivated for their compact size and adaptability. Popular worldwide for small-space and container gardening.

Water regularly at the base to keep the soil consistently moist but never soggy. Avoid wetting the foliage to prevent fungal diseases. Requires more frequent watering in pots or hot weather.

Requires full sun (a minimum of 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily) to bloom profusely and maintain a sturdy, healthy form.

Thrives in 15-26°C; is generally more cold-hardy than many larger roses. Can tolerate light frosts but benefits from winter protection in harsh climates.

Plant in rich, well-draining soil with excellent air circulation. Space plants 30-45 cm apart. Ideal for raised beds, pots, and as edging plants.

Feed with a balanced, slow-release rose fertilizer or a fertilizer high in phosphorus in early spring and again after each major bloom cycle to encourage continuous flowering.

Botanical name: Rosa cultivars (Miniature or Floribunda type); Common names: Button Rose, Miniature Rose, Spray Rose, Pompon Rose; Family: Rosaceae.

⚠️ CAUTION: Mildly toxic to cats and dogs. The primary risk is from thorns causing physical injury and gastrointestinal upset if a large amount of plant material is ingested.

Low; primarily valued for ornamental beauty and fragrance rather than significant air purification qualities.

Provides continuous color in small gardens, patios, and windowsills; excellent as cut flowers for small arrangements; attracts pollinators; perfect for beginner rosarians due to manageable size.

Susceptible to common rose ailments: black spot, powdery mildew, and aphids. Requires good air circulation and preventative fungicide sprays in humid climates. Spider mites can be an issue in hot, dry conditions.

Long-lived perennial shrub. With proper care, pruning, and winter protection, it can thrive and bloom for 10-15+ years, typically growing 30-60 cm in height and spread.
