I am the Mango Miyazaki, the dazzling ruby of the mango world. My deep crimson, almost black skin hides the richest, sweetest, and most velvety orange flesh, holding the world record for sweetness and embodying the pinnacle of luxurious, exotic fruit.
I am an ultra-premium mango cultivar from Japan, famous for my striking dark red to purple skin, incredibly high sugar content (often over 15° Brix), and buttery, fiberless texture.
Developed in Miyazaki Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan. A premium variety often grown in controlled environments and prized for its perfection.
Requires consistent, careful irrigation. Soil must be kept moist but perfectly drained to prevent root rot and to maximize fruit quality.
Needs abundant sunlight to develop the signature deep red skin color and high sugar content. Often grown with careful light management.
Prefers a warm subtropical climate with hot days and cool nights (20-30°C range). Extremely sensitive to frost and cold.
Plant in extremely well-drained, fertile soil. Often grafted and grown with intensive care, sometimes in greenhouses outside the tropics.
Requires precise fertilization with balanced nutrients and high potassium during fruiting to achieve its legendary sweetness and color.
Botanical name: Mangifera indica 'Miyazaki'; often called the 'Egg of the Sun' (Taiyo no Tamago) mango; Family: Anacardiaceae.
The ripe pulp is safe in tiny amounts, but the skin, pit, leaves, and sap contain urushiol and are toxic to pets if ingested.
Moderate (as a cultivated fruit tree); contributes to greening and oxygen production where grown.
Produces the world's sweetest and most visually stunning mangoes, achieving record prices; a symbol of luxury and horticultural achievement.
Very high susceptibility to diseases like anthracnose; requires meticulous pest management (fruit flies, scale); needs precise climatic conditions to thrive and color properly.
Long-lived grafted tree; productive lifespan of 20-40+ years with expert care. Grows 3-5 meters in controlled cultivation but can be larger.
